MAXWELL AFB-GUNTER ANNEX, AL -- On December 14, 2022, Airmen from the Business and Enterprise Systems Product Innovation (BESPIN) team took part in an exciting conversation about tech innovation within the Air Force!

Air University Innovation Accelerator’s (AUiX) Stakeholders Meeting provided an opportunity for AUiX faculty and stakeholders to gather and share innovative tech ideas.
When AUiX Director Mr. Bill DeMarco extended the invitation for BESPIN to attend, we knew it would be an excellent opportunity to connect with like-minded people and the meeting did not disappoint!

Representatives from nearly every Air University (AU) educational center – such as Air War College, Holm Center, LeMay Center, Global College, and more – were present at the meeting sharing new ideas and providing insight.

Mr. DeMarco stated that the goal was to help connect innovators with funding, partnership, networking opportunities, additional manpower, and to provide contracting guidance.

“How do we get all of these ideas one step beyond?” DeMarco asked. “That’s the question we’re trying to answer. We heard so many great ideas, and I’m excited to see where it all goes from here.”

Captain Evan Eberhardt, BESPIN’s Mobile Solutions Service Manager, was among our team members who attended the meeting. He appreciated how the session was structured around building value for the attendees.

“I wrote down every idea discussed, and I have things to follow up on that could lead to potential projects for BESPIN,” Eberhardt said. “As a group, we managed to establish such a sense of purpose and clarity of impact, so I know exactly what my role is and how we are contributing to the big picture. That’s such a good feeling to have.”

The AUiX’s Stakeholders Meeting is typically held annually, but Mr. DeMarco hopes to begin hosting the meeting quarterly.
