Facilities Equipment and Maintenance (FEM) User Conference

On June 4-6, 2024, in Montgomery, Ala. the Facilities, Equipment, and Maintenance (FEM) Capabilities Delivery Team (CDT), led by FEM Capability Delivery Manager, 1st Lt. DeAndre Thrailkill, hosted over 50 users at the Annual FEM User Conference.

End users from Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma, Hill AFB, Utah, and Warner Robins AFB, Ga., represented the following business areas: Industrial Plant Equipment, Ground Support Equipment, Tool Management, and Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory.

On the first day of the conference, FEM’s Information System Owner, Dr. Timothy Meixner of Air Force Sustainment Center was the keynote speaker.

Dr. Meixner discussed the future of FEM and its role in the Industrial Depot 4.0 Industrial Internet of Things and its connection to the Greater Power Competition.

The FEM CDT and the General Dynamics Information Technology team, also presented current FEM metrics, unveiled the roadmap defining upcoming releases, and provided a demo of forthcoming release capabilities and functionality.

On days two and three, business area break-out sessions were hosted by experts from the three Air Logistics Centers, addressing real-world concerns, issues, and recommendations with subject matter experts in each area. These sessions led to valuable discussions about future capabilities and the importance of FEM sustainment to support the Warfighter!
