The Commanders' Resource Integration System (CRIS) is a data warehouse that integrates financial data from system interface partners to provide visibility to financial transactions across the Air Force.

A recent meeting between the CRIS Program Management Office (PMO) and the T-7 Program Office yielded valuable insights into the current state of CRIS and potential improvements for Advana-Financial Air and Space Team Resources (FASTR), the Air Force and Space Force's new financial management system.

The T-7 team commended CRIS for its accuracy, reliability, and ease of use, highlighting its critical role in their decision-making processes and daily financial management needs.

During the discussion, both teams identified opportunities for future development, including more frequent data refreshes and refined filtering capabilities.

The T-7 team emphasized the importance of preserving key CRIS features in Advana-FASTR, such as calculated and concatenated columns, to ensure continuity and minimize potential disruptions. They also explored the potential for enhanced data visualization and customizable queries to improve the financial management community's ability to analyze and represent data.

Additionally, the teams acknowledged the importance of allocating sufficient time and support for user training to ensure a smooth transition between systems.

This meeting provided valuable feedback that informed the CRIS PMO about current end-user posture. This feedback will empower the CRIS PMO to tailor its approach to meet the evolving needs of the financial management community, as well as provide critical information to inform a seamless transition to Advana-FASTR.

By engaging with end-users of Business and Enterprise Systems programs, internal PMOs can tap into the expertise of those who use these systems every day, unlocking opportunities to deliver more effective and user-friendly solutions that drive real value for the warfighter.
