The Air Force's Mach5 platform, an Appian based low-code application development environment, has received its Authority to Operate (ATO) through April. 23, 2026.

Managed by the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center's Business and Enterprise Systems Directorate, Mach5 empowers Air Force units to rapidly develop and deploy tailored applications, accelerating capability delivery.

Built on the Appian platform, Mach5 incorporates over 68 percent of required cybersecurity controls directly, significantly streamlining the accreditation process and setting a new standard for ATO package preparation. This efficient approach fosters innovation and reduces risk and costs, saving mission partners hundreds of thousands of dollars.

By granting mission owners direct access to development tools, Mach5 enables the creation of solutions precisely aligned with their unique needs.
