Small News Q4 FY25

SBA Dynamic Small Business Search (DSBS) Database to Be Sunset in Summer 2025

The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has announced it will retire the Dynamic Small Business Search (DSBS) tool this summer as part of a broader system modernization initiative.  In its place, the SBA is introducing a new, redesigned Small Business Search (SBS) platform, currently available in beta.

Key updates to keep in mind:

  • As of June 20, 2025, the ability to edit business profiles via SBA Connect has been paused.
  • Some differences may appear between current DSBS records and listings in the Beta SBS during the transition.
  • All existing DSBS data will be migrated to the new SBS system before the full launch.

While the SBA will provide more information on the rollout in the coming months, small businesses should take time now to verify their listings in the Beta SBS and ensure their SAM.gov profiles are up to date to maintain visibility with federal buyers.
